Apartment Rearranged!

I got bored! Steve helped me arrange my apartment, and I think it looks much better!

Simon's First Birthday!

For kitty's first birthday, he got some new toys and Fancy Feast. He was clearly very excited. I think that Steve and I had more fun...

Simon and I are very excited to come home for Christmas!

Update!

I realize that I haven't updated this in a VERY long time. Many things have happened recently, and I wanted to let all of you know about it!

Work is going very, very well. We are coming up onto a deadline next week, so I have been working late and on weekends, but it's totally worth it! I will be needing a mental health day soon though. As of today, I have applied for graduate school at Johns Hopkins University. They have an online program for a MS in Biotechnology. I hope that I get in! (cross your fingers!)

I have just purchased my plane ticket for Christmas. Simon and I will be there for 2.5 weeks! I am really looking forward to it. Here are some pictures from the summer. Talk to you guys soon!

Snow-Capped Catalinas

I couldn't believe my eyes when I woke up on Saturday morning. We've had some crazy weather lately. Thursday night, my county had a Severe Thunderstorm Warning, a Flood Warning, a Tornado Watch, and a Blizzard Warning above 4,000 feet. I can't think of any other place this would happen.

The heavy snow is where Mount Lemmon is which is about 9,000 feet. There has been snow on these mountains for about a week.

This is Pusch Ridge and my view from my apartments. These mountains are about 4,000 feet, and this is the first time I've seen snow on them!

New Favorite Shirt

Got a wonderful package in the mail from PA! I proudly show off the art work on my fridge, and I love the reminder of what a snow man looks like. Thanks, Ava-bug!

Nerd Alert!

Steve and I didn't waste much time to start decorating for Christmas. Decorations included window stickers and a Charlie Brown Christmas tree. Clearly we had a blast.

Thanksgiving Dinner

So Thanksgiving dinner was a lot quieter than I remember this year, but the food was pretty good, and the company was great!! Steve and I unbuttoned the top button and relaxed for the rest of the evening. It didn't really seem like it was Thanksgiving though, with the 80 degree heat and mountains across the street!
