It's Fall...

but you wouldn't know it here! I chose the background of fall leaves because it's something I miss about Michigan. Good thing Trader Joe's sells Spiced Cider that is a decent replacement for Michigan Apple Cider.

A funny story about yesterday! I went to Trader Joe's for my usual Sunday grocery shopping. I had a few things that I wanted to pick up, but mostly walked around picking out things that were calling my name. I went to the register to pay, and after the cashier rang me up, he yelled, "YOU WON!!!" And then started ringing the bell like crazy. I was hoping that I had won a million dollars, but instead I got to spin the wheel becuase my total was 4 of a kind: $22.22. I won a free bouquet of flowers, and of course I picked out the most expensive ones!

Look closely and you may see a cat in my roses. I couldn't keep him out of them. He literally smells like roses because he spends so much time in them.

The proof!

Gangstas

My boys spent some good quality time together.

Company Picnic

This year, our company picnic was at Old Tucson Studios. There was pork BBQ, Can Can girls, gun fights, carriage and train rides, and free Ice Cream! Overall, it was a good day. Here are some pictures of me and my friends!

Cooks in the Kitchen

Steve and I have been trying to cook more. Here we display homemade pizza and pecan pie!

Apartment Rearranged!

I got bored! Steve helped me arrange my apartment, and I think it looks much better!

Simon's First Birthday!

For kitty's first birthday, he got some new toys and Fancy Feast. He was clearly very excited. I think that Steve and I had more fun...

Simon and I are very excited to come home for Christmas!

Update!

I realize that I haven't updated this in a VERY long time. Many things have happened recently, and I wanted to let all of you know about it!

Work is going very, very well. We are coming up onto a deadline next week, so I have been working late and on weekends, but it's totally worth it! I will be needing a mental health day soon though. As of today, I have applied for graduate school at Johns Hopkins University. They have an online program for a MS in Biotechnology. I hope that I get in! (cross your fingers!)

I have just purchased my plane ticket for Christmas. Simon and I will be there for 2.5 weeks! I am really looking forward to it. Here are some pictures from the summer. Talk to you guys soon!
